Sun Café is a cozy and vibrant restaurant in Gallares Street, Tagbilaran City. It was one of the stops we had at the Seas the Day Bohol Tour and one of my favorite! Our hearty lunch at Sun Café was just what we needed for an afternoon bustling with physical activities. If you’re ever in Tagbilaran City, drop by Sun Café and try out these mouthwatering offerings!
Pork Texas Ribs (Arguably the best in the city!)
I’m a self-confessed hardcore carnivore and the part of me that loves meat was 100% satisfied at the Pork Texas Ribs we had for lunch. The Pork Texas Ribs is one of the signature dishes at Sun Café and probably the best I’ve had in Tagbilaran City! I fell in love at first bite with the yummy, fall-off-the-bone goodness of the ribs. The special house sauce was tasty, too, and perfectly complimented the meat.
Last but not the least, the serving size is huge; so huge in fact that it could be shared by two people (depending on your appetite of course!). I definitely recommend this to meat-loving foodies out there and anyone looking for a filling meal!
Before we gorged on the Pork Texas Ribs, we had a generous helping of Sun Café’s fresh salad. Like the ribs, the serving size was big and could be shared by two to three people. I could tell the two pescetarians of the group were delighted to have this option and even more so because the salad was fresh!
Refreshing fruit shakes
Sun Café serves a delightful variety of fresh fruit shakes and juices perfect for the eternal summer in the Philippines. I had their watermelon shake and loved every last drop!
Good to know:
- They have wifi and it's fast, too!
- They have a multi-purpose room that can accommodate groups of 15-20 people, great for meetings and small reunions.
- Sun Cafe is conveniently located within Tagbilaran City and is about five minutes away from the downtown and city pier. Shout out to all travelers and tourists: if you’re famished and you’ve just arrived in Tagbilaran City by boat, this is definitely the place to go!
