I opened the month of October with two of my favorite things: fantastic desserts and a late night conversation with one of my closest friends. Click on READ MORE to know what shop we had our get-together!
I've known Zara way back when I was a pale, black-clad misanthrope
(wait a minute, I still am! :P). Did I mention that she's the front woman and one of the guitarists of progressive rock band Spanghew? (Like them on Facebook!) Because of all the things currently keeping us busy, we haven't been hanging out as much as before. We decided to do some catching up recently and went to CMYK.
CMYK or Chocolates Make You Kiss is a delightful little shop tucked neatly in the quiet driveway that connects Archbishop Reyes Avenue to Waterfront Hotel. I discovered this restaurant by accident several months back.
The cozy and pastel-colored interiors of CMYK make me think of dollhouses. The walls are adorned with inspiring and catchy phrases and lomo pictures. Did I mention they have wifi, too? CMYK is certainly a wonderful place for enjoying great conversations and, of course, their scrumptious food.
Zara had their bestselling Pork Royale, P189 @ CMYK
and a tall drink of Cookie Crumble Milkshake, P130 @ CMYK
I had Crusty Baked Tuna, P195 @ CMYK
and for dessert, Banana Nutella Crepe, P180 @ CMYK
CMYK Cebu prides itself with signature desserts like the Banana Nutella Crepe, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I'm not a crepe person but this one was exceptionally yummy, the nutella was distinctive and I loved the way it looked. People with an insatiable sweet tooth should check this place out.
Zara and I both love that CMYK is located in a quiet and somewhat secluded location, a nice bit of change. We had a wonderful time. My only regret is that many of my pictures were not able to capture the colorfulness of the place :( (Sorry for the blurry and grainy shots! I plan to return soon and do justice to this adorable shop!)
