{Dumaguete travel + food photolog} Gourmet Pizza @ Chez Oliver + Chillin' @ Gabby's Bistro

My last Dumaguete adventure, which I kick-started with a decadent breakfast at the whimsical Cafe Noriter appropriately ensued with more-- you guessed it-- food!

Click on READ MORE to find out where you can enjoy great-tasting, reasonably-priced gourmet pizzas and one of the coziest and most awesome restaurants to hang out with family and friends in Dumaguete.

Chez Oliver (formerly Chez Andre): In my list of favorite pizza places, Chez Andre would easily rank as one of the top three. This cozy little pizza parlor prides itself with mouthwatering homemade gourmet pizza. I love Chez Andre not just for their food but also because of the fond memories I have of them. We had a branch once in Bohol and I remember getting excited when my parents would bring home a box.

Chez Oliver is a home-based restaurant located in Valencia, a couple of minutes drive from Dumaguete City. Getting there was a fun experience as I got to see more of the province.

Chez Oliver offers budget pizzas, gourmet pizzas and pasta. My food trip buddies ordered two gourmet pizzas: the Prince Charles and Oliver's Favorite.

One of the things that makes Chez Oliver stand out is because the owner, a Frenchman, is very much hands-on when it comes to running his business and his dedication to delivering high quality and great-tasting products is just inspiring.

Gabby's Bistro: After the food trip at Chez Andre and hanging out at a local carnival, we decided to spend the rest of the evening chilling at Gabby's Bistro. The place looked like a cross between a saloon from the Old West and a 50's diner.

A whimsical wonderland filled with colorful and quirky decor, Gabby's Bistro is one of the restaurants found in Florentina Homes, a European-themed apartment/hotel. The architecture and design of Florentina Homes is a spectacle to behold. Check out their website to see what I'm talking about.

We had wingdings, chips and dip and Oreo bonanza. If I hadn't gotten on all those hair-raising rides earlier at the carnival I would have eaten a lot more haha.

The comfy atmosphere, colorful decor and, of course, yummy selection of food (at affordable prices!) make Gabby's Bistro a great place to hang out with family and friends. Like Chez Oliver and Cafe Noriter, this place is a must-try if you're ever in Dumaguete.
